Viking Ice Machines

The products of the Viking Range Company (which is the official name for the Viking brand) are targeted at affluent buyers both in residential and commercial sectors. Its icemakers are mainly 15” machines that produce clear and nugget ice, which can be under-counter or freestanding, and are optionally equipped with a drain pump.

Among other products of Viking are cooking appliances (microwaves, ovens, warming drawers, cooktops, rangetops, and freestanding ranges), HVAC units (wall and island hoods, custom vent systems, and rear downdrafts), fridges (built-in, freestanding, and under-counter), dishwashers, and outdoor appliance units.

The story of the company began in 1987, and it was started in Greenwood, Mississippi, US. In the early 2010s, the company was acquired by the Middleby Corp. (founded in 1888, working internationally, headquartered in Illinois, US). The acquisition strengthened the company’s position in the market of appliances, allowing it to expand its product line, focus on quality, and further broaden its business network. By the way, Viking is not solely a manufacturing company: it also owns a spa center, cooking school, restaurant, and hotel.
